Green Building
Fire sprinkler systems are an inherently environmentally friendly product. By preventing fires, a sprinkler system eliminates fumes and pollutants from entering the atmosphere. Sprinkler systems eliminate destroyed building materials from entering landfills and the need to produce more materials for fire damage repairs. Most suppression systems are water based, using no harmful chemicals to suppress fires. No other 'green' system can prevent a potentially negative environmental impact more than a properly functioning fire sprinkler system.
